Any have some G2 customizing tips?

I have had a couple G2 custom ideas for a while. I finally bought a few to make these customs. But they weren't entirely what I was expecting. In particular, the bodies are made of a much harder material than I was expecting.

Does anyone have any tips on how to work with them? I need to cut and lengthen the legs and neck and remove pieces of the face.

wow. I'm not sure what you're plans are, but you can cut through them with an xacto knife just like any other pony. You may need to use a fat needle of some kind to widen hair plugs or add to them when you rehair.

Thanks, that good to know about the xacto knife. I was thinking that it was going to be too tough to cut through with one.

Is there a trick to getting the heads off or are they just stubborn?

Hot water helps getting the heads off.

Hot water is the best way to get the heads off if you want to keep the turning function.. for the normal G2s that is
If it's one of those special ponies like the magic motion ponies you're going to have a much harder time.

Moonbreeze on here does a lot of G2s so she might have some advice.

I"ve done one with the turning tail...I had to cut into the body (along the spine) about ---- that far with my xacto knife in order to pull the device out. I was doing a FBR so I just sculpted over it when done, but depending on what you're doing and /or hair options you might not have to.
