How do I condition a so softs hair please?
« on: November 20, 2015, 03:24:58 PM »
My Paradise came in the mail and she's very pretty but boy is her hair dry! Makes my Sparkler look Pantene commercial worthy, lol. I'm a little nervous about getting a white so soft wet, for fear of her hair bleeeding. Thank you for your wealth of knowledge awesome pony peeps.

I actually just groomed a Paradise recently and didn't have any problems. :) To be safe you could keep her hair away from her body while it's wet, but I don't think you'll have any issues with her. Anyone else have any personal experiences?

In general G1 hair is quite color fast unless exposed to UV (it will eventually fade, rate depending on the hue) or to chemicals, the most notable being OxyClean with the neon hair colors in particular.

I've washed more than one Paradise just using regular conditioner on both the hair and body fuzz - just stick to warm/cold water and you should be good.  Extreme heat and rough handling particularly when wet can shred the flocking.

I agree with others here...you dont need to treat it any different than you would normal pony hair. It is a slightly different nylon but its close enough it reacts the same to everything (except perhaps brushing sometimes it gets stroppy). Wrapping the pony in saran wrap and just keeping the hair exposed also allows you to get the hair quite wet and protect the body.
