Finishing off with loop-and-lock technique

I just read through this tutorial on rehairing (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,357903.0.html), and it looks like a great way to redo a mane.  However, it doesn't say what to do to secure the final plug.  Anyone know?

Here is the youtube she based hers off of, the rehairing artist says to tie the last two to each other or a bit of thread.
