Yeah actually the USPS failure to scan packages in the day they are received can be a real problem.  I think when people look at the tracking and see that it hasn't been scanned in-  they automatically assume the person didn't take it to the post office yet or something :(

Yes, I'm a little worried about this right now because of two packages I sent out on Tuesday.  They were picked up on Tuesday, Priority mail, but were not scanned in.  Today one of them finally shows up making it look like I only just shipped it today.  The other one still has no tracking info and I'm worried that it is sitting around somewhere at the post office meanwhile making it look like I haven't shipped it.
