SO ridiculously excited about Episode 7 (Star Wars)

I think it will be awesome !!!!

* MUPPETS
* Director seems like he will do a good job

Disney spent SO MUCH MONEY for the franchise (so they can make yet more movies and merch) so hopefully they threw down for some seriously talented screenwriters this time as well. 

I know the movie seems unlikely to live up to the hype-  AND that it is basically a giant commercial for tons of merchandising and more movies and yet more merch- but the better the movie the more merch is likely to be made and sold so there is that right?!

I wish it was coming out this month and not CHRISTMAS that is way too long...

i'm excited too!! i hope i can still wear a costume to opening night with all the problems they've been having.

i've got my jedi costume ready! and i convinced my sister to go in costume with me!!! (the last costume i saw here wear was in 7th grade.)

But Star Wars, I get the chills everytime I watch the trailer, and just a week ago I watched a film om the cinema and the trailer came on and seeing it on a big screen like that gave me goosebumps that lasted for hours. I am so excited! Hearing Lukes voice, seeing the Millenium Falcon. If this movie doesn't live up to my expectations.. oh boy..

My parents and I are planning to see it in the theatre when it comes out. I, too, am extremely excited for it! Star Wars was a massive part of my childhood and I am thrilled they are making more films!

So I was hoping for some more Henson creature puppets in the newer films, I like them better than CGI. 

BUT I have since read that the Henson Creature Shop has NOT been working on the movie- so it's not those guys. But it may be another studio...

Regardless, looking forward to seeing what they have in store!

Yeah- the excessive CGI is SUCH a turn-off.  I am glad they seem to recognize that at least (it's a good sign)

The only other piece is that the story and chemistry be good- I guess that is harder to predict!

I'm excited.  I grew up on Star Wars, with my Dad being a huge fan.  He was around when the last three movies were out, saw them in theaters dozens of times and this was back when movies didn't even go to VHS.  You had to buy things like books and other products to keep you going until the next movie came out.  I know sometimes really anticipated movies like these don't turn out like people hope but I hope that Disney will know people are looking forward to this movie and do everything they can to meet or exceed people's expectations.

I found some Star Wars books at Stop and Shop and they are mini stories which I think lead up to The Force Awakens.  They take place between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back and it says there are hints in the book for The Force Awakens.

I agree.  When they remade the last three movies to add bits of things they couldn't have before, that was a big mistake.  The worst part for me was when they replaced Anakin's ghost with Haden Christianson (not sure on spelling) when he didn't die at that age.  My Dad doesn't like the newly updated older Star Wars films and refuses to buy them, he says they're ruined which I agree.  He said George Lucas refuses to release the original state of the older films on DVD for reasons nobody seems to know.
