popping the head back on
« on: August 27, 2015, 10:53:37 AM »
Is there a trick to putting a pony's head back on other than sheer force?  I am afraid I am going to rub the paint right off of her eyes.  It was much easier getting off than on once you heat up the adhesive.

If you don't mind getting her a little wet, try running both under hot water. It should make the plastic a little more bendy. :)

Heat the plastic up with a hair dryer, as Shaiyeh said. :)

I'll third this. Hairdryers are indeed magical things. I had a beheaded pony sit around for a month or two once because I was terrified of putting it back on without damaging her. Then it dawned on me to just heat up the plastic a little and steadily pushed it back in with the gentle aid of a butter knife.

I agree, hair dryers are awesome :)

However it does sometimes just come back down to a knack. Which generation of pony is it you are working with?

I have a g1.  It seems like it would be easy popping her head back on, but no no, not so.  I will try the hair dryer.  Thank you everyone for your feedback
