I sold a Funko vinyl a couple of weeks back to a user with less than 30 positive feedback on eBay. She left me positive feedback before the item was ever delivered (going from the States to Australia and she posted the feedback two days after I shipped) which itself was odd, but it wasn't the first time it's happened.
The item was delivered on the 7th according to the tracking and I received this message on the 11th,
"Hi we had a problem when the item arrived . It's tail was broken, and wing was damaged"
I have been out of town and have only responded today. I have requested more information; pictures of the packaging/ pony and I also asked if the parcel appeared to have been mishandled.
I know these vinyls aren't made great so I don't really have any problems believing that it was potentially damaged in transit, especially after such a long journey, but the premature feedback and the delay in the message has me somewhat suspicious. I know that since it was overseas I won't get any monetary reimbursement from the postal services. But, I do want to be fair to my buyer.
I am quite curious to see what response I get. I just hope that my buyer isn't trying to scam me over such a small purchase.
Thoughts?
