Glow N Show Ponies?

OK I was looking at the MLP Wiki, trying to find out if the celestial ponies that were in the episode I think "Birds of a Feather" where one of the tales ponies encounters the celestial ponies, forget their actual name.  One of them I believes says her name is Bright Glow.  I wanted to see if these ponies actually were in pony form and I think they are the Glow N Show Ponies?  I know I am probably late to the party with this but are these the same ponies?  If so, why don't any of them have long, beautiful wings like in the episode?  They have no wings at all.

They are the Glow n Show Ponies.  I haven't seen this episode for a long time but I think Star Glow is the winged unicorn and the one that fixes the balloon. Maybe the animators thought they would look better if they all had wings since when they flew they made the bright light in the sky.

I haven't seen thT episode but I think I will check it out. And Glow and Show ponies with wings would have been awesome!

17   "Up, Up and Away"   October 23, 1992
A UFO is sighted in the mountains. The police will not allow anyone to get close. Mr. Kiddoo plans to show the class his hot air balloon. Patch and a reluctant Bon Bon sneak on board the balloon and it is launched. They are attacked by birds and almost fall into shark infested waters. The UFO turns into the Glow n' Show ponies, which are flying ponies that glow. Its leader, Dazzleglow, a pony with a pair of wings and a horn,[note 2] rescues them and brings them to safety.

Usually, all the ponies in Tales were earth ponies so I guess they decided to make these visitors extra special by giving them all wings (and so that they also fit into the storyline).

Although there was reasonably consistency between shows and comics and back card, etc; there is also a lot of contradiction in order to fit into what is needed for that particular story. I believe they are using the same ponies but in different ways depending on what is needed.

Yes, Bright Glow is in that episode... but the toy pony doesn't have wings. I always wondered about that, too. I figured it was something special that she got for crossing over into the "wrong" world.

And the Dazzleglow in the episode is the blue hearts vesion!  I think the story line needed for them all to have wings. Yay for alicorn Dazzle!

They all needed to fly, and one of them had to use magic, so they made Dazzle Glow an alicorn.  That's my theory (although they have already said that unicorns can "fly" in the comics).

Side note: I love this episode, it was when I was starting to get to know My Little Pony Tales, and when I saw these ponies, I was instantly amazed by them, and this soon became my favorite episode (or one of them, I'll check) of Tales.

This is also one of my favorites, the whole exploring and unknown land and finding something magical is awesome and the best part is it was sort of secretive because only one of the tales ponies saw the glow n show ponies.
