Hello! New to the Arena
« on: May 18, 2015, 11:59:34 AM »
Hi everyone!

My name's Sarah! I'm 22 years old and have been living in Ohio my whole life. I was not into ponies as a child, but like many with the release of Friendship is Magic and the subsequent toy line I've become a big fan! I've yet to watch any other Gen's cartoon, but would like to in the future.

I've been collecting since late 2010-early 2011. I started out with G4s but have been slowly adding ponies from every generation in as well. My collection is currently around 120+ the majority being G4 blind bags (they came in nice big sets!) I'm become particularly keen to G1 ponies and would like to add more in the future. I also have a soft spot for Fakies and have a small number of them.

I was very interested in customizing ponies when I first started collecting, but haven't been able to yet. Hopefully that will change soon! Aside from that I also like to draw, knit, and crochet. I'm pretty shy when it comes to posting on forums so forgive me if I'm rather quiet. I look forward to meeting everyone!

if you do watch some of the older gens keep an eye out for some G4 ponies! a lot of the ponies in G3 return in G4 and some G1's were renamed and/or edited for g4

Hello, Sarah! Welcome to the Arena!

I followed the same path as you, started as a G4 fan but developed a big soft spot for the original ponies. I know Shout Factory! has been re-releasing some of the old cartoons and netflix has a few G3 ones on instant stream as well. Plus there's always youtube! I highly recommend watching Rescue at Midnight Castle. I hope you'll give customizing a try, enjoy the forums!

Sure! As soon as I can get some batteries for my camera I'll try and get some pics to share!
