Its nice to be here.  Excited to find more MLP enthusiasts like myself.

My pony-sona is "Late Bloomer"
An earth pony stallion of noticeable size (think Big Mac) that, sadly, is still a Blank Flank.

He, like myself, has yet to find himself and his special talent. 

He's had a handful of odd jobs and short careers around Equestria, but nothing seems to fit - so he moves on and tries something else.   He kinda likes the changing experiences, and that has helped at times "Hey, I used to be a (fry cook, garbage man, toaster repair pony, etc)"  And while he has a lot of experiances, he's not very worldly or well traveled, he does speak pidgin Zebra.

He doesn't get teased about it often cause a) he spends his time with adults, and b) he's very large (not Bulk Biceps big, but still not a small pony), and Earth-pony strong.

Late Bloomer is a pale horse with a dark brown mane, tied back in a clean braid (all be it a bit long.) But short tail. (they're in this season, yes?)  Brown eyes.  Often wears a cloak/cape to cover his blank flank - or has been seen wearing appropriate safety gear for the job he's on (coveralls and a miners helmet for mining, etc).

That's interesting, the idea of a mature pony being a blank flank.

That's a very interesting ponysona you have! I like the idea of a blank flank adult, I was even considering my ponysona being a blank flank as well (not the one in my avatar btw). It can be hard to find your special talent, but you have to keep your head high. Enjoy the forums!

There are some examples in the info post for ideas, just general stuff like where you're from, your age, what you do...but I know online sometimes people don't want to reveal too much at first. For more pony-related things, did you grow up with MLP like a lot of us did, or did you get into it with G4? While some of the G4 fandom irks me to no end, I like that the show has brought a lot of new fans and collectors into the growing community here.    What generation(s) do you collect, do you have a favorite pony...that sort of thing.

One thing you've got me especially curious about right now, though, is you mention that your OC is a lot like you in that he hasn't quite discovered himself yet...do you also try your hand at lots of different things?

Uhm, I don't know about this G4 thing.  I didn't get into MLP until recently, with Friendship is Magic.  I don't know much about the older shows. 
So far I don't collect anything except viewings and readings of some fan-made stuff ([edit ~ hathorcat], Snowdrop, etc)
I think my favorite pony is Rarity - because her 'gift' could have made her into a treasure hunter, or mining pony, or many other things... but she uses her gift of gem-finding to augment her desires. She WANTS to make Dresses, she's skilled at Gem-finding.   She uses her gift to make things - for everyone.

And yes- I've wandered around for a few years.  Grew up moving a lot (not sure why), but once we did settle in  I never really found myself.  The question of "What do you want to do when you grow up" has always been a resounding "Uh...I dunno."

Even my passtimes and hobbies are fleeting.  I find myself intensely interested in some things for periods of time, then it fades out and something else fills the "interest" slot.  I don't have favorites that stick - favorite foods, favorite colors, favorite music.   Heck, I don't have an iPod or anything like that cause my music tastes change so often.

I was a temp for a couple years, before doing the odd-jobs things.  Right now I'm even back in school to get a degree.  But even that is loosing its appeal.

SO yeah - drifting through life.  Nothing especially skilled at - other then having no attachments.   Originally I thought I'd call my pony-self "Drifter" and have a leaf on the wind as a cutie-mark, but "not being tied down" isn't really a skill, its kinda the opposite.  So  "Late Bloomer" - and a blank flank.

The C.M.C's are all fretting and fussing over not getting their Cutie Marks, and then onto the farm Late Bloomer shows up for an Apple Bucking Seasonal job - they find the adult blank-flank, and he talks about his life. Its not bad, and he has a lot of interesting stories, and has been to a lot of places... he just hasn't found himself, or what he want he's really good at, yet.
