Advice on posting the giant g3 plushes please
« on: April 22, 2015, 03:45:58 PM »
The time has come that I have to post a giant wysteria. For those of you that have posted these giants can you please give me some packing advice I don't even know where to begin

What did you ship them in, box or bag?
Did you destuff or not? (I would perfer not to)
how on earth did you squish her into what ever you packed her into

Any pointer that might make packing more quick?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated  :)

I don't know if you can ship them stuffed anymore?  I've bought 3 and the last 1 had to be shipped unstuffed.

The first one was shipped in a bag, the second in a box.  The last one was shipped completely unstuffed,  in a padded envelope.  I'm in the USA, and if I remember right, all of them were mailed from Australia about 7 or 8 years ago

Well, I've had giant boxes that humans can fit into sent to me in the mail, but that was within the USA. I actually have a box right now that came from Amazon that would probably fit two of those plushies.

Maybe go to your post office and ask for their advice? I'm sure they can tell you how to ship her without having to un-stuff her (that would be traumatic!).

I also want to say, oooooh, Wysteria! I wish I had the big version of her! I think I only have Pinkie Pie and Cheerilee. :/

I have 2 (one from USA and one from Loa in NZ) - both were sent in huge garbage bags, multiple layers (like 3-4 heavy duty bags). Both were fully stuffed.

I sent a giant Minty to the US.  I unstuffed her completely except for her head (at the buyer's request) and packed her in a cardboard box.  From memory she was about $70 to send.

LOL - weirdly thats how I got Frilly! Body destuffed and then vacuum packed but her head had the stuffing still in. Despite 8 weeks travel, her head popped back into shape!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
