So it's been awhile, but I wanted to come back to thread to give another huge thank you to everyone and also for an update!
Looks like unicorns are a go! We were really on the fence for awhile, especially as I was very afraid of how they would mesh with the rest of the decor. But things are really gearing up now and it's time to make some concrete decisions, and the more my fiance and I talk about it (along with our amazing planner who I love), I think we've come to the conclusion that using unicorns as a central part of our theme will work out beautifully! I'm so excited! It really helps me to have a very specific thing to work around (originally we were going for a general Fairytale idea but that just felt so vague and I was getting lost) and I think it's all going to tie together wonderfully. Some ideas we're working with are:
*brooches in my bouquet will include a lot of unicorn brooches (they are surprisingly difficult to find but I'm determined!)
*matching, silver pendant necklaces for my bridesmaids
*unicorn wax seal on our invitations
*unicorn escort cards!! (I'm weirdly excited about this idea)
*unicorns part of our centerpieces, probably in the form of small silver statues (may or may not be made into snowglobes)
*chocolate unicorns as part of our favors
Yay! So far that's what we're working with and I'm thrilled! I really want to keep to a very wintery, elegant theme, so I think (aside from the favors) all unicorns will remain either silver or white to keep them from looking too young. We'll still have pops of purple (and possibly pink, we're now toying with that idea) but we'll keep that to things like the linens and flowers.
