Are some poses more prone to hardening?
« on: March 12, 2015, 08:38:40 PM »
Is it just me, or do ponies in the Gingerbread pose tend to get hard bodies more than other ponies?

And if so, does anyone know why that would be?

I definitely believe so, especially about the Gingerbread pose. I think the Masquerade pose tends to harden as well.

I don't know if it's the pose so much as the batch of plastic they were made from... maybe that particular factory had some different stuff!

I think it's the plastic that gets used.  My Ice Crystal is rock hard as are a couple other of my ponies.
Looking for Mountain Boys Thundercloud and Sunburst.  ANY condition at all wanted!

All my ponies in the Gingerbread pose are rock hard! You could kill someone if you threw it at them

I think its to do with how much thicker the plastic tends to be on the poses you mentioned or at least on some parts of the ponies mentioned. No doubt during manufacture a set quantity of plastic will be put in the rotational mould to create the pony; perhaps for structural or integrity reasons or just due to unknown calculations more plastic is required in these moulds (no matter the pony made the same quantity will probably be allocated during manufacture). The thicker the plastic the harder the pony will become when the plasticiser leaks - i.e. not so much more prone to hardening but just that its more obvious due to the extra plastic?
