Selling on eCrater?
« on: March 03, 2015, 02:42:49 PM »
I followed someone's sig link to eCrater, and after poking around the site a bit, I was thinking about setting up a store there. What's it like to sell there? Is it worth bothering with?

I looked into it along time ago but it didn't seem to fit my needs at the time. I am starting to reconsider though as of late, so I am curious what others have to say about it too  :)

My mom used to run an eCrater store about five years ago; while the site doesn't receive as much traffic as eBay, it was still fairly busy and we had no problems. You weren't required to pay sellers' fees, either. I'm not sure what it's like now, though.

I've never sold there so I cant advise you very well. I do know that quite a few people here have at least tried it or still sell there  so hopefully someone can shed some more light on it soon :)  I don't think it is as busy as ebay but then again it probably doesn't cost as much to sell there either  :awake:

My sales there are pretty slow (though picked up a bit in the months before Christmas, naturally). This is really the only place I advertise my shop, so that could be part of it - also I don't ship overseas, so that would probably help sales increase a little, too. Definitely the best part is the nearly non-existent fees! Aside from lack of sales, I've had very few issues - nothing that wasn't an easy fix.

Thanks for all the input, guys. ^_^ It sounds like it's worth a shot, at least!
