So, my parents got me a 32gig iPod Touch to replace my dying one for my birthday, but the thing is, my old one was 8gigs, and I didn't even fill that! I told them I'd prefer a smaller size and they can save the $40, but my dad, for some reason, got offended by that and basically said I shouldn't care about how much it cost and not to look a gift horse in the mouth...so I'm stuck with it.

The problem? Spending frivolously for things I don't need/want makes me really anxious, so unless I fill at least over 16gigs on this thing, it's going to stress me out. My music library can do with an update (and I do have like 5-10 CDs that I still haven't added to iTunes) but I don't listen to enough music to fill that much space. So I need to cram this thing with apps.

I like puzzle games like Where's My Water and Gears, but I'm open to trying anything right now. I have $8 on my iTunes account left over from 4 years ago and another $10 card to redeem, but don't intend to spend past that so mostly looking for free apps.

TLDR: Suggest me some games/apps to fill up my iPod please?

Thanks.

I like Trivia Crack and they have a free version. I also used to play a game called Tiny Towers. It's free as well.

If you like farming, then Hay Day is rather fun. The same folks also made Clash of Clans, which can also be fun. I joined my first clan two weeks ago and I went through my first clan war this past weekend. (We lost because not enough people in my clan participated - time to find a new clan.) :P

I enjoyed Garfield invaders (or something to that affect) for a season, but grew bored with it after awhile. Might be fun for a while, though.

I'm addicted to these silly little games, I definitely second Trivia Crack. I also play Temple Run 2 a lot which is fun and Smash Hit, both of those two are free on iTunes. I just checked out Hay Day it looks like fun so I'm installing that now.

You could also put movies/tv shows or videos on your iPod to fill some space so you have something to watch during trips or when you don't have WiFi available.

Can you put movies on it? That would take up space

I'm totally the opposite! I don't want anything on my devices unless it'll be used. So most of my devices have tons of extra space

My current fave puzzle game is Candy Crush Soda Saga -- I haven't gotten tired of it yet (which I did with the original Candy Crush).

But here are some less-well-known games that are awesome:

TripleTown - very cute puzzle game. You can play for free or purchase an inexpensive upgrade for unlimited turns.

Threes - an even CUTER game with great music and SFX

If you like word games, Puzzlejuice is a challenging game that combines word find with Tetris. The graphics are very good.

Another great word game is Word Welder, it has a steampunk style.

Freemium world building games I like:
Pixel People (cute 8-bit graphics)
The Simpsons: Tapped Out
The Sims Freeplay

Candy Crush Soda, and Disney Tsum Tsum, are fun. I just started playing Cookie Jam which is pretty fun also but sometimes you run in to a really hard level. I played Pet Rescue Saga for a while but then I quit.

Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone! I'll be busy installing and trying out all these games this weekend. Fun, fun. I forgot to mention that I also like word games and sandbox games so seeing some suggestions for those too has me excited.

I didn't even think about movies/shows. That's a great idea, and I have more than enough DVDs around.

Thank you again all! :grouphug:

banditpony- I'm usually the same way, my phone has three games on it and no additional apps despite being a smart phone. That's why I asked them to exchange it for the 16gig instead; my poor, frugal self would feel guilty if they spend the extra money on wasted memory. ^^;
