I wish we had random deer wandering into our yard! Though that would be weird living in a decent sized city I guess....

Aaaaaaaewwwwwww I LOVE deer! When I lived up in IN we used to put out shortbread flower cookies with holes on the tree branches (like in Little Bear LOL) and the deer would come up and eat the cookies! :D Such beautiful animals, especially when they play in the snow like that! I love fawns <3

Wait..... eating deer meat is a usual thing!? I though only hunters really did that!  Im really weird though, I grew up in a super country area in northern indiana with the old school amish traditions of 'grow your food' kind of thing so I dont like meat at all as veggies and homade pasta are my stable. The deer used to eat our garden food so we started fencing off the garden and put out deer and bunny food in the front yard!

So nice to see the deer wandering around. My parents and neighbours have a family in the nearby ravine. During the winter especially they visit everyone's bird feeders (parents have one on the front lawn, great view) through the neighbourhood, they have the same little route they take each time. We've gotten to see babies and adults - usually 1-4 at a time, but I believe up to 7 at the most.

Here in northern Michigan it is.  People even buy the meat just to eat it.  I've never hunted myself, but when you need food, you need food.

You bet :) I've traded venison steaks for chiropractic treatment!

Same for Idaho. I've haven't hunted either, but friends have given us plenty of venison and elk meat. ♥ Love it.

I have no problems with responsible hunting, but some hunters get caught up in the 'thrill of the chase' and resort to illegal actions, inhumane treatment, and toss their common sense out the window. My part of the state seems to get all the idiot hunters - the ones who shoot at anything that moves, including livestock. :|

As for the original topic - very cute! Strangely enough, I live out in the country and haven't seen any wildlife this year aside from the usual birds.
