Show me your mankiest ponies!
« on: February 24, 2015, 03:47:35 PM »
Hi all :D

I've finally got around to beginning to sort my pony collection since moving house but I'm having trouble getting some omph to clean the air of 100+ ponies. Just don't know where to start!

So, I'd like to see your worst conditioned ponies: mold, age spots, hair cuts, bite marks, you name it.

And any after shots available would be awesome too :D :D :D

Here's one of my so-soft Sundances. I have no idea how she got like this! I keep her around because I think she's cute this way, somehow. :)

In a lot from Ebay that turned out a lot worse than I imagined (cigarette smells, mangy ponies, head/body discolorations, etc., disappointing when they were described as just needing cleaning up), I got this poor Princess Misty. As you can see, she has multiple chew marks and her back hoof is gone. She has a cigarette burn? on her front leg. One medallion is gone, too. (This was conveniently hidden in the Ebay photo.) She needs an expert restorer, but I'm not one.

AWWWW, those are so cute!  I know they are flawed but I have to agree that Sundance looks cool like that and Misty is rough but I like the color of her tinsel forelock... I'm glad you saved her, but sorry you were mislead on ebay.

These are great >3<

While sorting through my boxes I've found a Sundae Best pony (the icecream one) with what looks like red ink on her head as though someone has held a felt tip when to her for a long time. Completely soaked into the plastic. And a Scoops who has an odd green mark on her side. and a box of ponies who came together and were just, ugh. A masquerade in there is covered in some off brown gunk o_O

My mankiest to date though has been a Sky Rocket with the works: Bite marks, mold, odd crusty patches, regrind, pin dot, chewed eyes, and possibly tail rust. I just can't even bring myself to handle her she is in such a state >_< It's odd because all the other ponies that came with her (like, 60 of them) are all in good, but played with, condition like you'd expect =/

A lot of my ponies start out sad. Then I fix them, and 99% of the time I forget to take a before pic...

I like Sundance like that.  Gives her some spunk!  She would look great with some wild new hair I bet though her current hair style does give her a sassy look to her as well.  I think she needs a nice tail ribbon.  It'll complete her transformation.

My heart just went out to the poor little guy and I had to get him. I think of him as a rough n tumble little scamp who can't stay out of trouble. The buzzed hair isn't too terrible and he's only slightly discolored, but he has chew marks EVERYWHERE, and they go right through one of his hooves.
I love him because his condition is in stark contrast to his name... or perhaps given what he's been through, he's LUCKY to still be around!

I took pity on this little thing. She has been floating around on ebay for months, Originally starting out at £5.99 but loosing value all the way until I got her for £2.99.  The seller described her as "excellent condition" and "would grace any collection"............which is I guess why people didn't want her because clearly, she needs a lot of work.....

I intend on rehairing her with a couple of Peachy tails (I have a couple in my bait sales box) and cleaning up her body (which is actually almost khaki in color from all the grime) and eyes.

That seller had a lot of hope that all ebay buyers were literally blind is more like it. -_-

Poor little Cuddles! For some reason I always feel sorry for sad conditioned BBEs. Maybe it's because they are somewhat unpopular.

And Lucky is such a sweetie. I love how his tail is sticking up >3<
