Ebay Question...
« on: December 21, 2014, 09:05:56 AM »
I haven't sold anything on my own eBay account in over two years, because it was restricted from selling for reasons unknown.  Well, I logged into the account today, and it seems it's not restricted anymore! Yay!

I was thinking about trying to list some stuff, but I believe I read somewhere that any account that hasn't sold anything in a year or more is considered "new". I can't seem to find anything on the eBay site that sheds any light on what exactly that means, though, and I want to know what I'm dealing with before I do anything.

Can you guys help me out? ^_^

If you go to your seller's dashboard it should tell you if you have any limits on your account, I beleive.

If your account has less than a 90 day selling history, you most likely will have specific restrictions/limits placed on your account. Once you've been a seller for more than 90 days, confirmed your personal information, have sold multiple items in the category you want to list in, and have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and following eBay's rules and policies, these specific category limits will be removed. The main restriction you will encounter is the 21 day hold on your cash from Paypal though.  They can and will hold your money until the item has shown as delivered/ and positive feedback has been left.  Don't let that scare you though, they will release the shipping money if you print your labels through eBay or Paypal.

Here is a link that may help explain things a little better  :)

Thanks so much for the link, Ponylady. ^_^

I do have a previous selling history; most of my 400+ feedback is from sales, but my most recent sale was back in 2012. I can't tell from the link you gave if I'll be restricted or not... XD
