I don't see any connection with Dr. Hooves at all.The joke is that the young lady, when she was a little girl, asked Santa for My Little Pony for Christmas and now "Santa" is "proving who he is" by reminding her of that. They probably used My Little Pony as the toy in question for two reasons:1. It's a well-known toy that's been around for years that lots of little girls want.2. You can make a lot of sentences from three words ("I don't care", "Look behind you", "it doesn't matter", for example). So the "Three words for you" line gives the audience a moment of anticipation as they try to guess what's coming next. I think that's why they chose "My Little Pony" over, for example, "Barbie."A nice acknowledgement of the place My Little Pony has in pop culture, but not an acknowledgement of Dr. Hooves or G4.
