I have a strange question... has there ever been anyone that remixed my little pony theme songs or songs from the show, or even sampled from the show for use in electronic music, before g4?

I know there was alot of remixing of cartoon classics in the early rave scene after the remix Sesame's Treet brought kandy raving to a fore-front, but I'm just wondering if anyone in here knows of any remixes done before bronies came along?

Anything produced/remixed and released pre 2000 would also be a huge bonus! It's a long shot, but I know this forum is probably my best bet!

That's going to be a hunt since most of the MLP songs on youtube are G4 xD

If they did, I certainly missed it! But then again I will admit its not something that would really have interested me so a lack of awareness is more due to ignorance than something actually existing.

I hope you can track something down :)

The only old school remix I can think of at all is Eurobeat Brony/Odyssey's remix of the sea pony song. Done during the G4 era though so it doesn't count.

The ONLY track I can think of is this weird song I came across once called My Little Pony by JJAHBG. I found it on spotify if you have that, not sure if you can find it anywhere else. It samples audio from G1.

On April Fools a certain brony site posted remixes of the Ladybug Jamboree (quite catchy) and Where Have All the Unicorns Gone (meh, kind of silly). I've also got a few different remixes of Call Upon the Sea Ponies (I recommend the one by Eurobeat Brony), but that's it. A quick Google search will probably turn them up-- I'm not sure about posting links to them here. :)

I'd really like to hear some more pre-G4 remixes, especially given the amazing talent I've seen from the brony fandom in creating both remixes and original music.

The problem with finding anything like that is the technology really hasn't been around for that long. Back in the day there were probably very few people who even knew how do remixes of songs, so the chances of their being anyone with those talents and editing programs in the MLP collecting world are pretty slim. It's only been since right around the G4 craze (and the invention of YouTube to share them) that I ever even heard remixes and the like of any fandom-based songs.

I would not be surprised if some people had sampled/remixed some pony songs before g4 (it wasn't that long ago, guys ;) I just don't think it would have had much popularity or notoriety so it likely isn't available anywhere.
