Flocking Powder?
« on: October 24, 2014, 03:32:12 PM »
Hello!

I've been looking for white flocking powder for a non-pony related project, but I can't seem to find any anywhere and thought maybe you guys in customs would know where to track some down.

Also I've never used flocking before and was wondering how one would go about adhering it so something?

I have some funky flock that I was just about to sell! I never got the gumption to use it. Send me a pm if you'd like it.

As far as using it goes, I can't find a tutorial at the moment. But I think you start out with a thin layer of glue on the pony, then sprinkle flock on. Make sure the pony is on top of paper so you can reuse the flock that didn't stick. Then you let that layer dry, then glue again, then another layer of flock.

i just flocked my sindy horse in white its quite easy to use once you get the hang of it use a box with news paper in the bottom to flock the item in then put the item in the middle paint a thin layer of glue on the project and with a plastic sieve put a bit in and sprinkle over project ,when there is a thick layer over all the glue leave it untill it is dry or over night if poss ! when dry lift and shake on to the paper all the loose powder will fall off and you can put it back in the container and save it . next take a DRY paint brush and dust off the little bits and there you go ! :)
