Is the uncut Rescue at Midnight Castle getting harder to find?

Hi,

I've been looking on Ebay and I noticed there aren't many copies of the uncut Rescue From Midnight Castle/My Little Pony/Firefly's Adventure on it any more. I saw more copies of Escape from Catrina than Rescue From Midnight Castle.  I was just wondering if most of the VHS tapes that were made have ended up with collectors now. I was thinking about maybe getting an uncut copy since it was edited on the new complete series release.

I'm not sure about physical copies, but I've downloaded the uncut version, and I think it was straight off of youtube. If you want to see the original uncut, this is the easiest way.

I still have the VHS tape but have no idea what condition it is in.

I'll have a look at my DVD version - if it's uncut like I think it is then I can still find it in stores or online here in NZ.

The "Little Piece of Rainbow" song, plus the ending theme and most of the opening theme.

I just had to be naughty and download it from youtube, just in case it seizes to exist.

I have a good copy of uncut Rescue at Midnight Castle.  I just need to find a copy of Escape from Catrina without the salt and pepper fight at the beginning and buy the movie and I'll be all set.

Thanks everyone. Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong time since the new complete series DVD just came out. I've had bad luck trying to download video files directly to my computer in the past. (not from Youtube though. It was another site.)  I guess I will have to keep looking and hope a copy comes up in my price range.

I wish I could find uncut VHS copies of both Midnight Castle and Catrina without the salt and pepper. I've got a setup that allows me to transfer the VHS onto DVD. It would be so nice to have digital copies of those specials.

I guess I'll have to be more diligent in my eBay searches.

I don't understand why they didn't release the uncut versions on the new complete series DVD set unless they seriously don't have it available like it was lost or something.

It's so annoying they didn't release the uncut versions. Would live to know how you can download from YouTube as I too am scared it gets taken off and then ceases to exist.

Unfortunately as others have mentioned if you are on the look out for an uncut version you need to track down a VHS and the issue with those is that after 30 years they can be in very poor condition.

However that being said, you will find it and it does show up on ebay with a reasonable regularity - its just a matter of patience and luck!
