FSF Darci's tail skirt

Hi, guys!  So I just BIN'ed this FSF Darci with curly shoelaces and tail skirt.  I really only need the tail skirt, but the price was decent with free shipping, so I figure I'll just resell what I don't need.

But I'm not quite sure if that tail skirt is original; it looks a little different (longer and darker) than the one shown on The Filly Catwalk site:

The tail skirt I just bought does look like the one in the pic from ashes.  Maybe there are variations?  If there are variations, I don't care which one I get; I just want it to be an original Darci accessory.

Hee hee, I don't mind.    It probably is original.  I haven't heard of any variations, but if you want, I can always take a picture of the skirt off the horse if that would help ease your mind.  It could also just be the lighting that is making the two look different.

Looks like the one that came with mine that I got new as a kid.

Does anyone else see what I'm talking about?  The one from the ID site just looks a little shorter and lighter than the one I just bought (which looks to be the same as the one owned by ashes).  The one on the ID site looks to have a little . . . I don't know what to call it . . . hem, ridge, something . . . around the outside edge too.  That's why I'd love to see comparison pics.

I'm really detail-oriented and pick up on subtle differences; that's why I suspect a variation here.  It also explains why I'm a picky pony collector and how I keep track of all the accessories and stuff in my head.

It's that meshy fabric - tulle, is it?  Gah, I'm not so good with fabric names.  On the inside there is elastic with a small bit of velcro to fasten it into a circle.

I really do think the one you bought is original.  It just looks like they put it on Darci facing outward, instead of against the rump, so that's why it looks pushed out.

Thanks so much, ashes!!  I think you're right, the one I bought is the same as this one, and they're both original.  But I really think the one shown on the ID site is slightly different.  I don't think that one is . . . what's the term?  Pleated, like this one is.  The other one also looks a bit smaller in diameter, and maybe a little lighter.  I think it also has a little hem/ridge/whatever around the outside edge.  Welllll, I dunno, maybe it's just rolled up a little on the outside edges, and that's why it looks smaller and hemmed.

Does anyone else have a slightly different version?
