Guaging interest for a bait and custom supply swap plus surprise custom?

Hi! so if you're like me, you have a pile of dolly hair and a box of baits, but don't have ideas for everyone or even half of them.

i was wondering if anyone else would be intersted in doing a bait and custom supply swap.

you can put specific poses or just unicorn g1 in your wishlist.
and stuff like. don't like pink hair or whatnot.

what do you guys think?
it might also be fun to throw in either a surprise custom. just one you think is cool. no wish list for that though.

wondering if this thread should be here or in swaps. since the focus is the supplies. mod?

I think its a great idea! We did a custom supply swap a couple years back, it was fun, altho I never received a box in return. It was fun for everyone else!!

Would the extra custom be non-themed?  Or colors/theme chosen by the partner?  I think this sounds like a blast!

sounds interesting. boxes could get heavy for shipping though

I would recommend some minimum guidelines. For example:

Box must contain -
at least 1 bait of the Gen preferred by your partner
at least 1 bag of dollyhair or retrodolls hair (or similar)
at least 1 other *quality* customizing supply that you yourself like and would like to pass on for someone else to try OR an additional bait or bag of hair

if you want to include a custom (and if you do, it should be something all participants have to include), then I think you should add :
at least 1 custom based on your partner's fav gen and colors (leave it broad in theme like that)

participants should list:
fav gen
fav pose in that gen (though they may not get it)
least fav pose in that gen
fav colors (top 3)
least fav colors (limit 3)
and if there is anything you do NOT want to receive (like I would not want any bake clay - I only use apoxie sculpt)

roogna- that's a pretty good sum up of what i was thinking.
also been debating on a spending limit or minimum too.
but have been waiting to see if anyone responded.

the idea behind the spending part, is for partners only looking for big brother molds or the like versus someone looking for g4 basic mold.
if the spending limit was say 15$ you could buy a lot more g4's with 15 than big brothers. etc.

but this is an idea i really want to bounce off people that are going to participate.  so what yall think?

One thing that came to my mind is that would it be possible to make it known in the sign-up form what generation we already have as baits? Or some other broad theme in baits. I can't be the only one with handful of baits I have no use for and could give them to other homes, or is it too close to specific bait swapping?

if i'm the one hosting. i don't mind. last swap i hosted i enjoyed matching people up based on skills and likes and don't see how this would be terribly different.
