Sorry to be a downer, but I don't think it's a prototype. It's probably just the first release. Mine is exactly the same as yours. BUT mine also came from Anahiem, so it's possible we bought from the same person. Maybe this seller just has an older batch for some reason? I bought mine back in December. Edit: Scratch that last part. Mine came from LA. Close enough though, right?

I don't think she's a prototype either, but more like the first batch of Funko Muffin ponies, who had 5 oval bubbles as her symbol instead of 7 round ones the way they are now.
I hate to say it, but I am thinking the second batch looks a bit cuter...I have a feeling they rushed the first batch out, since they were already WAY behind schedule by the time these things shipped...
I think it'd be a challenge for someone who knew nothing about them to pick out which was the knock-off and which was licensed!

When I told him he had it backwards he was stunned.
Its pretty cool to see how the different batches vary a little. However I am not surprised that the first ones perhaps appear a little rushed; their release seems to have been taking a very long time! Congrats on your new addition Seashell.
