I recognized them both immediately. We have great blue herons in my neck of the woods too and I love them. I find birds INCREDIBLY hard to draw; I can never get the proportions right. Clone is doing a fantastic job making these two look alive and I look forward to the finished pieces.

First off, huge congratulations to taking the time, energy, and patience to work on her Gold Award! I never got that far, as my family moved away before I could begin work on mine.

Secondly, artists are always our own worst critics. Those are fantastic, I know exactly what they are and she captured the birds perfectly. Keep it up, Clonecommander, the great thing about art is that the only direction you can go is forward!

They are beautiful. The heron looks like a picture you can find in very old schoolbooks. You know the kind from where photographs were not as common so they were drawn. Clonecommander is very talented and I wish her luck with her achievment!
