Very true what you guys said. And not to mention bettas are very intelligent. They are said to be one of the few fish that can recognize a person and get curious about you. I can vouch for this as I have seen just how smart they are.

I had decorated one's tank with little gem rock thingies and he would swim up to them an examine them and was a very curious little guy. I always changed his tank when I cleaned it to keep his environment interesting and new. Gosh, now I want to get another one of these little guys. They're pretty and cute at the same time.
