Ack! Spilt juice on my laptop

Well, I'm still beating myself up over spilling juice all over my laptop last night.  Fortunately, it seems that only the keyboard got screwed, and the rest of it is still working.  (Ended up sort of removing the keyboard and bought a new external keyboard.)  Not sure if this is the first or second time I split juice on this laptop or not.

Was wondering if anybody else has split liquid all over their laptop or not.  Did the laptop survive?

Nope never, I keep all liquids away from the computer.

Our laptops have never lasted long enough for us to get them all full of gunk... Plus we have a no liquid by it rule.
Too bad they're not like external keyboards that if you get them full of gunk all it takes is a soapy wash and then a week sideways to dry. Or like a cell phone where you just leave it in rice for a few days...

Funny a topic about liquids and electronics pops up NOW.  I always take tea to bed to take with my meds.  Vitamins and pain pills, most particularly a muscle relaxer for my screwed up back with the MOST pleasant side effect of knocking my insomniac-arse out without fail, and I usually balance my pills on my phone, and my phone on my tea cup.  Usually I use a glass that is more narrow than my phone is wide . . .

You can see where I'm going.  Well, I deviated in that by using my big, monstrosity teacup.  PLOOP, in goes my phone! 

Full immersion! 

BUT, my phone still works!  Thank-goodness for a Nokia, and thank-goodness for not taking any honey in my tea at night!  It got some water inside and it had to spend two nights in a bucket of rice, but yes, it works now.  And just as it did.  I swear by Nokias.  So good.  Nothing stupidly frilly or fancy, but they never quit ticking. . .

I haven't, but my brother has.  His keyboard stopped working and since it was a laptop it took new components to get it to work again.

Spilled a whole bottle of water, half of the keyboard died.
Spilled some acetone while doing a custom and got a polka dot laptop, but survived
Now I never let any drinks to be near my new laptot... I kick my cousins out of my room to drink because I know they WILL spill it... they are so clumsy

I spill stuff on my computer all the time. So far it's always survived.

I have a desktop so it's harder for me break entire computer despite being clumsy haha
I did spill a bit of water on my keyboard once, but I was lucky because it can stand a few millilitres of liquid
