I am deflocking a really nice looking Wind Whistler and Hippity Hop who both have wonderful pink hair...just poor flocking.

I am having issues deflocking the wings, what do you use to help get them clear????

A lot of Q-tips soaked in acetone.

I was kind of wondering if Q-tips would be strong enough to handle flocking removing....

I will admit to relying on the initial sugarsoap soak to clear most of it. However I have also tried with success an acetone soak. You soak several flat cotton circle pads in acetone then sculpt them over the wings; wrap the pony super tight around the middle with saran wrap in order to prevent the acetone from evaporating and leave for 12-24 hours. Remove and the acetone should have eaten the glue away. You ll need to use warm water usually as the pads have normally started to stick a little to the plastic.

A lot of Q-tips soaked in acetone.

^^This. Ugh, those little crevices in the wings are so dang annoying to deflock, but I've found the Q-tips to be strong enough. The acetone will at least loosen the glue, so you could go in with a toothpick after if the Q-tip doesn't get it all.
