Need Help Setting A Watch
« on: June 27, 2014, 09:12:46 PM »
True this is not a problem for any watch on average, but this watch is strange. The seller on eBay said it comes with a manual but it didn't and they directed me to a web site showing a poorly scanned piece of paper quote un quote saying how to set the time and read it. ...I've read over that page on it's English side more times than I can count trying to decipher it to no luck. Could some one here try breaking it down into intelligible instructions?

This is what the watch looks like:

And this is supposed to be my instruction guide:

I think I get it. The green lights are for hours and red on the right are for minutes (one light represents one minute). The yellow lights in the middle are representing five minutes each. The time on the watch on the photo should be 12:57 (but I guess you knew that already).

When you press A, watch should light up and display time. When you press B 1st time, green lights (hours) should start blinking. Then by pressing A button again, you adjust hours; one press for one hour.

When you adjust the hours, press B and adjust minutes like you did with hours.

I hope I helped :)

That's more than I knew before, thanks !
Still the procedure for setting it is a mystery. The instructions don't seem to work with the watch .
Any other thoughts guys  :(?

In what way?

Did the watch come with the battery, or you have to put it in yourself? I've forgotten about that detail too many times

Nah, the watch worked on the spot when I pressed what is labeled as "A" button. Pressing "B" button doesn't seem to do really any thing. Pressing A only seems to rotate it back and forth between two display modes to which I can't figure out their purpose. Certainly it's not letting me advance the note of what hour is being shown or minute in the case of B button.

I really have no clue then
Maybe someone who can read Chinese (or Mandarin, I'm never sure which is correct) can help you. You could put "Chinese instructions" or something like that in the title ;)

Take it to a watch shop - maybe print that instruction sheet if you can.

Got an update on this  :|.
Took it to a watch shop, after an employee examined it he determined it's "B" button was broken. ..That would explain why I couldn't set it  -_-.

I basically got a refund from the seller & eBay that came up a few dollars more than what I paid for it. This morning I ordered a replacement watch, this one odd looking as well but this time it's ..well ..more normal in it's appearance to read the time on it's face er faces  ^.^.
