I have a truly small collection--15 ponies + a friend's childhood Gusty that I keep separate as a kind of desk warmer :)  I've always really loved Year 2 ponies, so those are the ones I have.  I've owned many other ponies over the years, but I always sell them.  I love having a small collection!  Some of you have seen these pics before:

How many ponies do you have?
Okay, so with all of them including baits, customs, and plush and ones that belong to the boyfriends, I probably have around 120.

Where do you keep them?
Regular sized g4's live in the shining armor and princess Candace castle together, gen ones live in a drawer in my dresser with some of the odd g4's like the key chains and talkers. Gen 3+3.5 live in a cardboard box together because I need to get them to a loving home. Plushies live in a crib with all my other plushies.

Do you want to expand your collection?
Yes? No? I don't know.  I would like to get the other background g4's I am missing. I would also like to find a better home for the g3's and 3.5's in my life too, so I want to prune it some.

Do you wish for more space?
I wish I had my life together enough to be able to have my own apartment and live with my boyfriends but for the moment i'm at home. Until then I wish for more shelf space.

Do you collect only certain ponies, which ones?
I am a 'basic' collector so I like to get the ponies in their regular show forms and I like to get everyone in this state.  I don't care which G1's I get though I am partial to sea ponies. 3+3.5 are more a grab and go type of thing, I don't think about it.

Everyone's collection started small :) And size honestly does not matter. For a long time my collection consisted of filling the shelves in front of books on a couple of shelves. It took a long time for it to grow.

When I joined the arena I had about 30 ponies, and I thought that was enough for a long time, but then I caught the bug, and now i can never have too many ponies! But when my collection was smaller, I definitely enjoyed the stories of how I came by them more. Now sometimes I find it hard to recall if this is the first or fourth upgrade to a pony, and where it came from originally just by holding it in my hands. Those are nice memories to have, and for a forgetful person like me, it's hard with a larger collection (I'm currently housing about 600 pony souls)

I have 1000+ ponies but sadly I have no room to display anyone with the exception of just a few MOCs :( They are all stored in boxes/cupboards/drawers... which is sad! One day I will have a place to display them all I hope!

Same here mercynova! I feel your storage/unable to display pain : /

I'm at over 2000+ and honestly the size is a huge liability for me now. I wish I reduced my collection when the going was ace for selling ponies. It's a bit blah blah blah at the moment.

How many ponies do you have?
I have a very small, eclectic collection of 8 ponies; mostly G1s but there are a couple of G3s left over from when I was a teenager as well.

Where do you keep them?
They live on my currently half-empty bookshelf, following a huge clearout of unwanted things; they have an entire shelf to themselves (for the time being)!

Do you want to expand your collection?
I'm hoping to add a couple more childhood favourites to my collection and then call it a day on actively seeking particular ponies, as I'd like to keep my collection small and clutter to a minimum.

Do you wish for more space?
It would be nice to have some more room, although my place isn't cluttered anymore; it'd just be nice to have somewhere to put a digital drumkit! XD

Do you collect only certain ponies, which ones?
Not particularly; I very much enjoy variety with ponies!

How many ponies do you have?
I've downsized my collection, and while I haven't done an exact count I'm guessing I have around fifty-five of varying generations, excluding my sales ponies.

Where do you keep them?
With the exception of a few on my closet shelf, most are kept in a storage bin beneath my bed.

Do you want to expand your collection?
Aside from purchasing a few here and there, I have no plans to actively collect or expand my collection due to both financial and spacial issues.

Do you wish for more space?
No. Having less space has made me a lot more frugal about what I purchase, which as a result leaves more money for things like art supplies.

Do you collect only certain ponies, which ones?
Variety is the spice of life, so no! I just purchase whatever ponies appeal to me.

My thread! Finally!

How many ponies do you have?
About 10, give or take 2-3.

Where do you keep them?
Plushes live in a basket with other plush, but as for ponies, I keep them in a small plastic box. I rotate which ones I display and only display about 3 max at a time to prevent fatigue :)

Do you want to expand your collection?
Nah- if I find a new pony in the future that I must have, I will get rid of another one first rather than simply expand. I like a small, sustainable herd :)

Do you wish for more space?
Nope! I love small spaces and making them work. It's never the space that's the problem, it's people having too much stuff! That's what I believe, anyway. Go visit IKEA's showrooms! People live their whole lives in 200-400sq ft of space! No excuses :)

Do you collect only certain ponies, which ones?
I only collect G4 with a few G3 exceptions (Desert Blossom and January Joy) and 1 G1 (TE Galaxy, though I'd like Gypsy). I like to primarily collect ponies if I have a strong association with their character, so G4 Rarity predominates.
Will always trade for limited edition/90s Pikachu stuff!

I went a little crazy trying to get every release of everything when the g3's started.  It went way overboard, so now I am starting to pare down little by little and work towards things I really like (as opposed to "it exists, must have".  Going through all this stuff is overwhelming!!
