Nail brush, hot soapy water, get scrubbin!

I might have to try that on some of my childhood ponies :)

If it was regrind there would be nothing you could do about it (regrind is usually a pinkish discoloration within the plastic).
Luckily you've got smooze! You've got some great tips already to get it out. Hot water and some scraping with a fingernail sometimes gets it if it's not too deep. My gal has the same issue and so does my US release. Good luck!

Oh thats not regrind :) Its just some in ground dirt.

As others have said you need hot water, soap and then something like a butter knife or a nail file and "push" the dirt with the long flat surface out of the plastic pores [which open a little with the hot water].

It takes elbow grease but you ll get there :)

I tried everything on my deflocked Paradise and nothing helped her. Only boiling her in Oxi helped (but I really think it's kind of bleached the dirt, not getted it out of the pony).

If its smooze,

I heated up Lil Tot and got a spoon and dug it out. the results were amazing. There are little holes where in was in the plastic, but after I heated her up more a couple of times the closed more and were barely visible. They closed on there own after time.

hope this helps :)

Heres her before/after:

This is what I call "blackheads" because that's essentially what they are! The pores in the plastic were just large enough to let a little dirt in, but thankfully you can get rid of it with some good ol' elbow grease and not pinple cream!
Run the pony under SUPER hot water and put some antibacterial soap on her. Pinch the pony's plastic so that the the dirty part is squeezed between your fingers...it'll stretch out the hole and make removing the dirt easier. I tried alll kinds of things, but honestly, my thumbnail was the most effective at scraping it out. Just scratch, scratch, scratch until it comes out and repeat as necessary. It takes a while, but my Gusty looks minty new again! Cheaply bought, now she's worth 2x what i paid for her! Winning!!

Would water from the kettle be too hot?

I found that just hot water from the tap was hot enough, but it depends where you have your boiler set at. Give the tap a try, and then try the kettle. Judge for yourself which is better. Don't worry about symbols and stuff...I've yet to have them "melt" off or smear from heated water..msome people have even boiled their ponies!
