Essentially. But it's really charming and random and bizarre. :whoa: Some videos that do a really good job at showing what it's like..

I played it for a little while last night. It's very interesting but it's too soon to tell if it's a hit or miss. I'm off to play again soon.

I got the game yesterday. I had preordered it on Walmart's site about 6 weeks ago, but when I checked my order status around 5pm, it still hadn't shipped (it was supposed to ship on the 5th) or even charged our Walmart card, so I cancelled it and went to seek out a physical copy from the store. Walmart said they didn't get the game in, so I checked Target and they didn't have it either. I wasn't about to check GameStop since they decided to mark it up $5 more than anyone else for no reason (other than their own greed, I guess) so I checked Best Buy as a last resort. Our Best Buy has a pretty pathetic selection of games, especially for the 3DS and Vita, but to my surprise, they actually had like 8 copies on the shelf. I grabbed a copy, along with Shin Megami Tensei IV since it was on clearance.

So far, I really have been enjoying Tomodachi Life. I started by adding myself, my son and my brother, then from there I just started making random miis to move in the apartment. There have been several times where the game made me laugh, either by the miis doing something weird or saying something that the person they were based off would say. I also discovered you can draw on the faces of sleeping miis, just like Jigglypuff does on Pokemon.

I still have both of my Demo coupons, so if anyone wants one, let me know and I'll PM you a code.

I have a code too I have yet tto use it someone wants it.

The game is actually very messed up in a good way. It's very random and has made me laugh a few times. Especially what happens when you find your Mii's absolute favorite food. :P

There is just one gripe I have with this game... it's not a game (not do I think it's meant to be) where you can play for hours on end. At least, not right now it doesn't seem that way. I have only made five Miis and I plan on making more. I think the game is meant to be played in about 20 minute spurts. I was hoping for something I could sit down and sink a couple hours into. But that's okay, because Rune Factory 4 also needs my attention. I put it on the backburner and it seems fun to play in addition to this.

So far right now I am liking it. I need to make more Mii's. I have yet to have any of them fall in love because I have so few.

This year looks good though. Later in this year I have two new Harvest Moons coming out that I need to get and the new Cooking Mama. I feel like I am forgetting something. Hmmm.

I went ahead and bought the full game. It makes me laugh, especially the songs.
My island address is '315-369 Muffin Isles Crepe Ocean' if  anyone wants to visit! So far I've made 4 islanders including Neo and John Snow. I'm such a nerd lol.

Wow. Two of the women that live on my island were friends and apparently had a fight. Well, I ended up telling one of them she should try to work it out. She apologized, but the other one said she couldn't forgive her. Then a few minutes later, the one that didn't want to work things out decided to apologize. So, anyway, it seemed to work out ok. But then when I started playing later, I noticed they were in one of the apartments throwing items at each other. They do this all the time at both of their apartments (it says they're "hanging out"  but I don't throw clocks and vases at people I'm hanging out with  ) and whenever they're apart, they're both angry all the time. The dumb thing is I can't figure out a way to just tell them to move on and stay away from each other. I'm sick of using all my items to calm each of them down, only to have them fight later.

ShortyBoo, can you delete a Mii? Maybe you could delete one.

So I've made a bunch of Miis based off of serial killers and infamous celebrities like Michael Jackson and Nikki Minaj (though I will admit I listen to both of their music and MJ is one of my favorite artists ever).

This game has made me laugh on several occasions now. I have seen mixed reviews. Some people love it, others hate it. I will say I really like it. It's not love like I thought it would be, but it was worth the purchase and checking in on my island will give me something to do every day.

Oh, and true to what happens to me in real life, the most icky Mii I've made (made him look a trashy person, and his nickname is Dirty, LOL) has decided he has taken a liking to my lookalike Mii and my Mii has fallen for him too. They are always hanging out and I saw them in my Mii's apartment playing WiiU. Geez.... my personal Mii could have done so much better! XD    In real life I always attract all the creepers or guys without any kind of communication skills.

And this is Tea Brighton, a Mii I made up that I'm rather fond of. I'm offering her QR if anyone's looking for a new gal for their island. :D You'll need some hair color spray, of course, to complete her look. And you may want to tinker with her age (if that's even possible).. most of the Mii's on my island are within 10 years of my own age. I won't force your gameplay creativity, but she really loves throwing kitty parties - hint hint. ;) I'll put the rest of the pics behind a tag..

The new Tomodachi Life QR codes supposedly contain the personality options the creator chose when creating the Mii.. pretty awesome, I think !

Ah, the more I hear and see about the game, the more I want it! :D
I found out I have a gift certificate for Best Buy, so if my store still has some copies on Wednesday, I just may buy it. :3
Thank you so much for the adoptable, Corona! :D
