Mufasa or Simba?  Aadra found this handsome guy for me and neither of us know which he is!  I vote Simba.

I found one that looked very similar but with sewn eyes instead of plastic ones so I had to look again but..

According to this merchandise site it's Adult Simba made by Mattel, I'll see if I can find out more!

That's Simba and I own him! I had my dad buy him for me from Toys R Us in 1995 for my high school graduation.

EDIT: here's a picture of him from one of the holiday swaps I was in. (He helped me unwrap the goodies.)

Yay Simba!    Thank you to everyone who researched and PMed!  I decided, since he's so big, to put him on top of a book case in the living room.  I'm hoping to get the large Sarabi/Baby Simba plush to go on the matching one.   

I had to pry my cat Slick off of Simba to take a picture.  Slick decided that Simba would make the best bed EVER.  I had to lock him in the closet until I was done.

I remember seeing one at the store but by the time I went to go and get him he was gone   I think I ended up getting the samba that has the mobile mane (cub to adult) instead

Yes, it's Simba. I have the same one too. Mine's not in that good of shape anymore because I've slept with him almost every night for the past 20 years.

Funny story how I got mine. I wanted him for Christmas that year, but my parents didn't buy him for me. Over Christmas break my parents took me and a friend to Chuck E Cheese's. While I was playing I found $25 on the floor! My parents let me keep it, but I couldn't spend all that on tokens. I didn't want to. I wanted Simba! After we left Chuck E. Cheese's we went to Target where I had seen Simba. I got the last one they had. He's been on my bed ever since.
