Are these ponies prone to burning?
« on: April 22, 2014, 01:36:50 PM »
I really need to take my friend to the charity shop more often, he seems to attract pony luck like nothing else. >>
Today yielded Sea Shimmer, my first sea pony. (Oh my gosh, why did I not know how cute they are?!)
And I got lucky enough to pick up 2 nirvanas as well, an Italian white Tootsie and a no country Sundance.
(I believe especially no country Sundance is very common here in Europe? I like her either way though.)

All of them have highlighter marks though, and the 2 white girls are veering more towards creamy yellow then actual white.
I'd love to give them all some time in the sun, since it's finally showing itself around here, but I have no clue if any of them are prone to burning? If anyone has experience with these particular ponies I'd love to know.

Congrats on your new additions, they sound lovely! I've not heard of those particular ponies being prone to burning, but I can't be sure. I think I stuck my Italy Tootsie in the sun when I got her and there wasn't any adverse result in my case (but no great progress either!)

I'll bump you up and hopefully someone else can help you out  :)

Thank you.
The sun is never terribly bright around here, sunfading takes ages in my experience, so in the end they'll probably be alright if I keep a close eye on them, but it's always good to know if there's something I should be looking out for.

I agree with Marlin they are not a pair prone to age marks or burning. As long as you keep an eye on them everything should be fine :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

As long as they're not showing any signs of cancer I'd say go for it! If you're able to wrap their hair and possibly cover symbols I'd suggest it. The sun isn't strong here, but I've had hair fade on some ponies I've put out in the window (I've faded dozens of these critters!).
