CF Blossom color question
« on: April 15, 2014, 06:22:53 AM »
Im thinking of buying a CF Blossom from someone, but on the some what darkish pictures she had send me, blossom seems a bit grey instead of lilac...
Is that possible? Or is it just a mather of a darker picture?

If the pony is from the 80s, Blossom isn't very dark. However, the pony you're talking about might be the retro pony that was released back in 2007 or 2008.
Does she look like this?

Blossom has a nasty habit of fading from a lovely lilac to ashen grey, unfortunately. She was released many times over the years from carded on shelves to mail order, and the intensity of her purple changes because of this. The flat foots are again a different shade of lilac, so it's actually a matter of preference as to which shade appeals to you most :)

So true. My CF Blossom is a very subtle lilac color but my FF Blossom is pretty gray.

Also, there were the Year 2 CF Blossom and then the "Mail Order" CF Blossom - one is definitely more "gray" and one more "lavender/purple" - not nearly as dark as the Retro version shown above but, Blossom seems to come in all shades from gray to purple, lol!

She was released a lot :P So she has a tendency to be a little all over the place in shade from a nice light purple through to purpley grey. Massive numbers which varied in year and type of release and even country combined with general environment ponies have been stored or played or displayed means variety is pretty common :)
