Need some advice about Paypal payment

Hi Pony friends,

I have a little question, I may have the possibility to buy 2 ponies I am missing. The person accepts being paid by paypal but she asked me that:  (first time I hear that    )

when I have send payment I can note on paypal that the transaction is done. She will do the same on her side in order to have soon a part of her money. I can understand but what happens if she does not send me the ponies? Am I still protected by Paypal?

I hope my explaination is clear and that some of you can advice me

Anyone may correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds to me like a scam. Does this person have feedback on here or eBay?

he he and this is now the problem, I have just recently known that this person is no more a member here  I mean she was "blacklisted"/ "prohibited from Arena transaction" as some of pony friends here had bad experiences with.  Her name here was sternenstaub.

To me what she asks concerning paypal is a bit obscur to me that's why I prefer to ask some advices before going ahead.

I would say just avoid. There are lots of other nice people to buy ponies from on here

I would steer clear and find the ponies elsewhere

As long as you don't send a payment as a gift, you're protected for 45 days. If your items don't arrive within that time frame, PayPal will refund your money. However, I don't understand her wanting you to note to PayPal that the transaction is complete. You should make NO note. After all, a transaction is only complete when the seller has their money and the buyer has their package. Whether or not you decide to buy from this person, at least take comfort that you're protected for that 1½ months.

Well I have given a look on the topic about her and after that I have contacted her directly saying what I have learned about her and I was not ok with noting that the transaction is complete as it seems to be a bit "risky". I have opened a discussion about it. I keep thinking this is very strange 

I am waiting for her answer. If I get no answer , then It will be confirmed it was no serious deal.

  I'm glad that you've already got some good advice here and contacted sternenstaub. It is up to you if you go ahead with the transaction - you are covered for 45 days - but do be careful if you decide to deal with her.

Bibinette the choice is ultimately going to be up to you whether you proceed with the transaction. I know there has been a lot of issues but she also had many flawless transactions. The decision made by the Mod team to prohibit her from conducting business here was not an easy decision. We felt it was in the best interest of the community and our sanity at that point in time.

I think as long as you make sure to cover your bases on protecting yourself, things most likely will go smoothly. If my memory serves me right her biggest issue was very slow shipping.
