I haven't been actively keeping up with MLP since August. It looks like Equestria Girls took off and that Hasbro is doing the whole Bore 7 thing over again.

Have there been any new brushables announced that are actually NEW characters?

I am sad to say this but I see myself being done with G4.    I don't want that to happen.

I think that there is going to be a new brushable Holly Dash toy.
Along with (IIRC) there being a brushable Octavia and a few other characters that will come with their EqG dolls, if you want to count those.
Otherwise, it's basically been the standard "Main 6 + Princesses" as far as brushables go.

Photo Finish and a large talking style Chrysalis are coming out as well.
