Rediscovering Ponies you already have

This! has got to be one of my favorite parts of collecting! (and rotating my collection display)

today I was looking through stuff and found ... my MIB Sunny Rays!!!   much happiness ensued!

does this happen to you?

You know, I am very aware of the ponies I have in my collection, but I'm spoiled, and have a big room for them. Rotating means appreciating less ponies at a time but on a much more exclusive basis. Instead of taking a fraction of attention to note each pony in a sea of ponies, you get to focus on a shelf or two of rotated ponies at a time and I think it gives you a different kind of delight, seeing all of them again as if for the first time each time.

Recenty, I rediscovered 'music'' themed G3's which I had all thier hair done and themed with instruments to 'perform' in Twinkle Twirls Dance Studio (only to discover my JazzMatazz needs rehairing ;-; ) I guess I go through appreciation in different waves. One day, I'll probably have to rotate. It'll be fun

Oh yes! This happens to me all the time, I'm always forgetting what I actually have, this goes for merchandise as well. It is always so exciting to rediscover something.

Oh I love to do this when I go through "awaiting sorting" accessory bundles. I am always "ooooooooooohhhhhhh I forgot I had that" and then there is "oooooooooohhhhhhhhh dear why do I have another one?"

Actually I just packed a whole bunch of ponies and merch away, anticipating how awesome it will be to re-open them up, and packing them accordingly... there's g2's and g3's, plushies, MIB's, books, and even some accessories stored in recycled MLP packaging. It's definitely going to be an awesome day when I open up those bins, for sure. Everything was packed super carefully, to ensure no damage, because not only would it be awful, but it would ruin the whole vibe of the day I'm planning.

Mine are all packed away as well at the moment and won't be able to see them until we move into our new house in a few months time. Sad that I can't see my ponies at the moment, but can't wait to be able to see them again! I'm going to have a pony/toy room at last once we have moved although it will take me a while to be able to get it sorted - I don't have any shelves!
