Show me your petites and mummy charms!
« on: March 15, 2014, 07:40:59 PM »
I've started to like these and I wanna start collecting them. I don't know much about them though. How easy are they to find? What do they usually sell for? Are there any rare ones?

Please show me yours!

They're not HTF but they're not easy to find either. I have some from the first year and those are generally the easiest to find. They'll put you back about $5-$10 each depending on conditions.
Here's a LINK to PonylandTours Petitie Pony page.

are you asking if any rare petites exist? if so, then your darn right! lol :P ;)   i know the sparkle royal ponytail, glowing magic, and bright sight petite sets tend to run the highest then the sunsparkle and pretty n pearly being followed lastly by the regular ponytail ponies.

i have over 50 of the little buggers :P

There are actually some seriously rare petites.  The G2 petites are *extremely* rare.  There are only a few sets of those known to exist in the entire pony community.  I've only seen one set for sale in the last 10 or so years, and that went for over $500(MIP).

Here's a picture of my 2 sets:

The other rarest group of petites are the "stamper" petites.  These were released overseas somewhere(not sure which country got them, but definitely someplace in Europe).  The don't have the regular hoof print on the bottom, they have raised images of ponies on the bottom instead.  These also come up extremely rarely.  I own 4 of them.  I haven't seen any others for sale or in anybody's collection.

Of the regular releases, the Glowing Magic, Twinkle, and Bright Sight sets are hardest to find.  I think certain ones of the Twinkle set are hardest to find of all the regular petites.  These sets can all run a pretty penny in good condition.  It's not uncommon to find petites from any one of these sets in the $20-$35 range.

As for the other end of the spectrum, the easiest petites to find are the Pony Tail Petites:
http://www.ponylandtours.com/PetitePocket/ponytale.html

These are pretty easy to find for just a few dollars.  They're everywhere!  If somebody's selling a handful of petites, odds are good it's one of these.  There are four symbols in this set(pizza, brush, mirror, clock), and each petite was released three times, each time in a different color scheme.

Petites that came with the playsets are also pretty common, though the Euro versions of these can be harder to find.  Each playset (except for the castle) came with one of two versions.  Generally, the USA got sculpted tails, while the European ones came with brushable tails.

G2 petites.. :dribble: I wish these had gotten a wider release, they're so pretty, and so hard to find.

I don't have pics of my petites, I don't have a lot of them, but I love them, maybe they will be the next set I will hunt for.

This isn't a great picture of mine, but it's the only recent thing I have:

I would adore a set of the G2 petites, but I just couldn't swing that much when they came up. One day though! I do, however, have one of the stamper petites - a pink pegasus with blue hair. She has a cut tail, but I don't mind. I also got some of those ones from China that came up a while back... one is a weird sort of stamper made out of poorer quality plastic, and then I have three pearlised ones without the pearlesence. I bought them mostly as curiosities rather than anything else :)
