The Hip Holly I added to my herd was sticky when she arrived, but it went away after the spa :)
I guess it helps if the ponies are not stored in a bag or with compromised air flow .

I've wondered about this as well, since I have about 100-150 G2's but not one of them has cancer. I've only experienced plastilizer breakdown once (from the eyes of long haired Bubble).
