My Ebay purchase seems to have been relisted . . .
« on: April 01, 2014, 01:18:23 AM »
Hi all,

I bought a pony a little while ago on Ebay from a seller who has numerous feedback and marked the pony as posted very fast etc.  The pony in question for several reasons is very obvious in the photo I purchased from ie it's easy to tell it's the pony I bought.  Browsing Ebay I've gotten a shock to see the same photo up again so I checked the listing it's the same photo, same listing from same seller!

I should message seller I'm guessing for explanation as there is no way they could have 2 identical of what I bought so either mine isn't on it's way as I've been told or somebody else will not be able to have what's currently listed   Mine should be very close to arriving assuming it's posted as indicated but I'm not sure what will happen if somebody buys the one listed now!

I would most definitely contact your seller. While I would normally say perhaps she had two, you mention that it is the exact same pony. So my next question is what pony is it? Is it at all possible she did have two and just didn't feel like taking another picture? I am just trying to think of a positive reason that it was relisted and not that she is pulling a fast one on you.  :(

Also was there a tracking number that you can check to see if it is actually en route?

Whatever the reason though, I would contact her to give you a peace of mind in any event.

Its a TE Masquerade with a blue hair clip in her mane (which is mentioned in the listing), her tail braided tied with a ribbon on the end and she comes with her sticker which is why I bought her.

I don't want to come across as accusory to the seller as they have been perfect to deal with and it was only a fluke I saw the second listing today but just a tad uneasy - hoping it's just an error and their listing has been accidently restarted as price, description everything is identical

Hmmm...I found the active listing but I don't see it in completed listings. How long ago did you purchase it?

I just wanted to make sure that you were not reaching your 45 day limit, since I did not see it in completed listings.

I hope she responds soon and let's you know what is going on.

Here is the completed listing
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-My-Little-Pony-HASBRO-MASQUERADE-1985-/121304123044?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item1c3e4a06a4

It is exactly the same as the one listed now
Says this on both..... "In very good condition, has some small specs behind ear under hair but these look to be in the plastic. The front mane hair is a bit wild which is why it has been put in a clip- Just need washing and re-styling(if you so wish)"

Post Merge: April 01, 2014, 03:55:55 AM

It is very odd both are exactly the same pictures... description etc  maybe they have put it up and are going to re-do the listing and picture later but it doesnt say newly listed  so im doubting that

This seems very strange.  Can you accidentally re-list an auction?  I've never re-listed one so I'm not sure how involved the process is.

I'm sure not Brighteyes you'd think there would be something preventing you resisting something marked as paid and shipped?

I heard back and the message said 'thank you' no explanation but its been ended.  Will be happy when pony arrives though

Maybe they listed it twice,  once for a longer time? Is it a different price? I've had this happen to me, even after the item arrived at my house. I just sent the seller a message,  but the listing seemed to run it's course with no bids.

She could perhaps have done "sell similar" and then just hit a couple of buttons to relist it. Thats easy enough to do if you are perhaps not paying attention or your changes to the listing do not take for some unknown reason.

I hope you find out soon!

  sounds a bit odd, but from that I gather that she did accidently relist your pony, and so when you messaged her she took the listing down.  Hopefully that means it was all a harmless mistake and you'll be getting your pony soon

If it helps I've bought from this seller and haven't had a problem =)

Perhaps she has two and decided to use the same picture?

Yes I'm assuming it was a genuine mistake and hopefully my pony will be here soon just a rude shock to see the listing of what I'd already bought!
