How many ponies do you still need to complete your collection??

Too many.  I still have a bunch of G1's I want to collect, and a  bunch of G2's, and G3's I want to collect also.  I have pretty much collected all the G4's I want except for a few I haven't been able to get yet due to lack of money.  When I get more money I will try and go back and get the ones I am missing from the older generations.  Just gonna have to wait for now.

Well, I've already completed my US G1 pony collection, save for the few re-releases of the same ponies like Sprinkles and Firefly, but I still have a ways to go in the way of nirvanas. I have approximately 130 G1 left of nirvanas, but that doesn't count the countless South African, Colombian and Vennie variants which I have no intentions of ever completing! As for G2's, just over a hundred to go and 100 G3's left. I'm a completionist in case you've not noticed yet, lol!

Well I really have no idea how many I need but I collect mainly g1s.....I have all the u.s. ponies and a ton of nirvana.........but I also collect variants too.....so I have a feeling there's a ton to be got...Lol have well over 1200

well considering somewhere a collector managed to get all the G1's (or so I thought) and that number was like 1,500, I was like WHOA! Not wanting THAT many! LOL
I WAS gonna finish sets I had started but decided to stick to the ones I had the fondest memories of, so I stop at 1987 with a set here or there.
I also collect Gen's 2, 3 & 4.
As far as G1 I think last time I checked my list it was like 100-200.
G2 I'm done though if I find a MO Seabreeze at a good price I won't turn it down!
G3 I have like 3 or 4 since I decided to stick with Dollar Store exclusives and a few odds & ends.
G4 I just started but I am just buying what I like

I decided to change my strategy a bit and realized I still have some US Ponies I still need to collect so I am going to stick with those then move onto UK and then probably Italian and so on.

That is the great thing about collecting no right or wrong way!! Love it!!

I don't think my collection will ever be complete. There are just too many that I want.

My G1 herd is more than 80% complete, mostly missing sea ponies and mail orders.

This doesn't include internationals, which I am not actively collecting. I'm waiting to mysteriously inherit someone's collection, or find them all at a local garage sale.

A lot lol!! I am mostly a G4 collector, but I am trying to get some G1s and G3s because I like them too

I don't think a collection is ever truly complete.

G4 I'm focusing on Fashion Style or larger, interesting releases, and Funko (and maybe Diamond Select in future).
G3 I may continue seeking convention and fair exclusives but I've got a small herd I'm happy with.
G2 I have two
G1 I keep telling myself 'no more' but then I see someone who is too cute to pass up, and each time pricier and pricier...

My Posey army I count almost complete, there are some I will never own and I'm okay with that.

Right now I'm concentrating on getting one of every G3. Duplicates of the same pony in a different pose or slightly different design don't count for me. My spreadsheet says I'm at 57% completion. lol  Excel nerd, I know.

I actually just finished having a heart-to-heart with my own checklist!  I've decided that I don't want to actively collect Sea Ponies (though I'll pick them up if I see them), which puts me at needing 144 more US G1s until that part of my collection is complete.  I haven't yet figured out the G2s (let's just say I only have maybe 30 of them?), G3s (which I do have most all of the normal releases, besides a few of the Core 7 variants), G3.5s or G4s.  Unfortunately, I jumped on the G4 wagon a couple years after they started so there is a LOT of backtracking that I had to do and these little suckers are getting expensive, lol!

I'm mainly a G1 collector I used to be a completionist if that's a word lol and wanted to have them all.  Now I'm downsizing to concentrate on the ponies I love most mainly the early years complete with accessories mail orders and Italians.  What I need;
G1 - Italians, a couple of upgrades and other than that mainly accessories ribbons generally and a few HTF pieces like MO mommy and baby crib and other impossible items
G2 - Never collected them
G3 - Used to have a big collection sold most and only kept exclusives and my few special fav.  I need the teal hair graffiti pony
G3.5 - these horrify me lol so none needed
G4 - I own about 8 plus some blind bags I don't really collect unless I see some I need to have I still need the AJ with the mask.

So that's my teeny list of what I need!  I don't miss the days of having a crazy long wishlist but quite amazed over the years I've gotten most of what was on it!
