Air compressor recommendations?
« on: March 16, 2014, 03:23:00 PM »
So, I have a cheap air brush, which I know isn't great right now, and I intend to replace it eventually, but I am more looking to know what a good air compressor would be.  I need something small and cheap, if that is at all possible. =]

The cheaper approach is a standard air compressor (for garages) with an adapter.  I have yet to find one that let's you have a lot of control myself.  I saved up for an artist's compressor ($200).  It was a moisture trap, fine control (15-40psi depending on what I'm working on is great!), and is very small and quiet.  I can airbrush with the kids asleep no problem!
