Bleck, too much glittery ponies x.x

Ok first of all, this is about Blind Bags, though I'm sure some of the other G4s might fit here as well.

Anyway, We all know that since wave 1 of the BBs we've had glittered covered ponies... and to some degree we were ok with it even though the glitter was on the outside.

But I just grabbed the last two wave 10 BBs in the Walmart I was in today (please note i have not seen any BB waves since about wave 8 with a few missing waves here and there... and well I forgot to check which wave it was before I got them... because then I would have possibly know these ponies were GLITTERFIED! Seriously these two are shedding glitter! My other Glitter BBS didn't even do that.

Make me think the ponies rolled in the glitter XD It wouldn't bother me so much if they had put the glitter closer to the eyes and symbols... I don't know what order they do the painting and glitter but seriously I'm pretty sure they could have gotten the area around the eyes to NOT look weird =/

Yeah, I've got glitterless prototypes for a substantial portion of the wave, but I sometimes wonder if I should have bothered, since it seems like it'd be pretty easy to remove all the glitter just through normal handling...

I didnt mind the first wave glitter BBs since they werent so "thick", and the Wave 4 werent too bad in comparison, but gosh the Wave 10 BBs have a lot of it. xD I love glitter, but sheesh! I too wished that they did the glitter closer to their eyes and cutie marks, although I guess I can understand why they didnt.

(i am surprised they did another all-glitter wave, since at least where i lived at the time, the Wave 4th basically shelf-sat at most of the Walmarts I went to. One store actually have five full boxes of them out on the shelf.)

I actually passed on the brushable G4 Wysteria(?) that came out not too long ago because I wasn't sure on how much glitter she would shed.
Thank you so much for the adoptable, Corona! :D

Glitter is considered craft store [STD] because once you have it on you, you can never get rid of it.
These ponies are no exception! they have it!!

But see I don't understand why they can't, I mean I'm pretty sure they add the paint first then the glitter =/

I remember when the 4th wave first came out (and then later on the Pinkie Pie and Wysteria brushables) myself and other collectors with small children were all concerned that the glitter would come off on kids' hands and would get eaten. As everyone with kids knows, what is on their hands go in their mouths! But other collectors assured us that the glitter was actually glued on very well and almost none of it came off on your hands when handling the toys.

Now this wave comes along and it's like my nightmare all over again. From what everyone says, this wave positively SHEDS glitter. It's like Hasbro gave NO thought this time around to little kids. Are they thinking only adults buy blind bags now? That's a silly thought, obviously there are still young kids out there who are getting these toys. Not only is the glitter possibly going into their mouths, it will be all over their bedroom and clothes and their other toys--a hassle for mom and dad to clean up, for sure.
Thank you Thimble for my amazingly cute avatar!

See I like glitter - I like anything sparkly :P

However when it comes to glitter...I will admit to getting annoyed with Hasbros belief that dipping something in litter makes it a new pony I should want :P Nope...save yourself some glitter money Hasbro and just make me a different character.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I love glitter as long as it stays put.
Im not so worried about my daughter getting glitter in her mouth as getting glitter in her eyes. One little speck of glitter in an eye is a nightmare, its soo painful.

 :P :P :P :P :P heheh

seriously though they have done one sloppy job on that wave.  -_-
i do have an old post here on fixing up on those bald patches with look like glitter from the craft store and it doesn't rub of.....if i can find time i will search it  for you if you want..
i've used it since wave 4 bb's and its great.

it is funny how now all these prototypes are coming out glitterless though, most of my wave 10 is missing the glitter and the ones that do have it look shocking

I think I remember looking up that post, shabbychicdee, sadly I had lost interest in BBs forever ago and only every now and then try to get them if there is a character or two I want that originally came in the 3+ packs
