Does anyone make replacement/custom twinkle eyes?

I was looking around on one of the restore websites a few days ago for other hair treatments, and got engrossed in reading. . .  Apparently someone used to make replacement twinkle eye plugs???  However, the link no longer worked, and well, I didn't give it much thought, but I had wanted to do a custom some time ago with gold/yellow twinkle eyes, and was wondering if anyone could make them or even made the replacements anymore. 

I know I could just glue some yellow/gold stones on the pony's eyes and call it a day, but with me, being a terrible perfectionist, I'd really like something that looked as factory as possible!

Gonna keep an eye on this post, because believe it or not I was looking at ways to do a twinkle eye too just yesterday without having to steal one from an original pony, unless I can find a bait one.

I've seen some threads around about replicating factory twinkle eyes.. I'm sure someone can point you to the right size of rhinestones and what sort of coating to give them. As long as you actually cut into the eye and embed the stones in instead of just gluing the stones directly on, it should look good :3

I've seen some threads around about replicating factory twinkle eyes.. I'm sure someone can point you to the right size of rhinestones and what sort of coating to give them. As long as you actually cut into the eye and embed the stones in instead of just gluing the stones directly on, it should look good :3

But such is not quite secure.  Any sort of glue on gem, right coating or not ( which I'm not concerned about, I want a yellow gem with a gold powder coat ) but the actual factory twinkle eyes have a flange that keeps them in, sort of like a bolt if that makes sense, and I'd like that.  I know there used to be someone who made them, because there were pictures up of the custom casts.  All they are resin cast from the originals, so anyone who does the petite resins should theoretically be able to make them. . .  I just don't have the means or know how to get into yet another craft ( casting. ).

I'm pretty sure I've seen the thread you're speaking of. And yes, they made replica twinkle eyes.
However, I'm not sure how I found the thread as I do believe it was older.
Hopefully someone else will come along that can direct you to that thread.

The member you will mean is Hatsetsut and here is her old thread. http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,323442.0.html She has not been active on the Arena for a couple of months but perhaps you can try pming her to see if she is still making them.

I believe she makes them as resin casts so they dont have the same pearlescent finish which originals do but they are certainly identical in shape and general appearance.

She had really awesome replacement SHS earrings too, so she def. knows what she's doing. I wanted an earring as well, for my last SHS who had a broken one. I've been trying to trade a spare earring but that doesn't seem to work...so I was just going to buy another.

I agree with that replacement TE's would be very cool to have...I've got a Galaxy with 1 eye all ground down like against the sidewalk or something...and there's no real fixing of that. I've never even managed to figure out how to get a TE out of a pony though, so maybe someone will eventually find/make a tutorial.

Me too!  I would want alt colors besides purple.  As I said, I want yellow. . .  ( And that's the person who made them, the name said as much, but the link was no good.  )

And the best way to get them out is to pop the head and push them out from the inside, I think.  They would've been popped in from the outside versus popped in from the inside, so it would be best for them to go out the way they came, methinks!
