PSA: NEVER take a G4 Fashion style pony's head off.

I'm horrible, I just chop the neck plug off then glue the head back on directly. Obviously the head can't move anymore, but hey, the pony is in one piece now! .////.

HA! That is exactly what I do too!

I just cut out a small wedge or two in the plug.  When you go to insert it in the neck, that will allow part of the plug to "fold" inward, letting the remaining lip slip inside with less force. 

Exactly what I do on ponies of all gens (except the little g4, which I just make several slices in the neck hole).

I do that too!  We are customizing buddies now.

Yep. Xacto works best for it, tho super sharp scissors (like fiskars) can work in a pinch.

Or, if you're like me and you WANT to keep the plug intact, you'll pull it loose as you're trying to work the head off. -.-

I just dip the plug in boiling water then squish it back in.  Sometimes I use pliers to help poke and pop it back in.
