My mind is blanking, what does Josei mean again?

I am a MASSIVE fan of graphic novels I tend to wait for trades, but I do read the MLP comics month to month, and I'm not-so-patiently awaiting the new Sandman mini. I used to be more into DC comics, but I am just not a big fan of the new-52.

In terms of series, I love The Sandman, Y: The Last Man, Fables, Locke and Key, Scott Pilgrim, and The Unwritten. I also have a great fondness for indie one-shorts, like Sailor Twain, Beasts of Burden, or The Last Unicorn.
