This is a fantastic thread! I love seeing all of the different displays and ideas people have for their ponies.

I don't have as large or as impressive of a collection as some of you do, but nonetheless I enjoy the ponies I do have. A lot of times people are surprised to learn I have such a small collection, since I regularly sell so many ponies, and I've been collecting for many years! But I only keep my absolute favorite ponies, the ones that mean the most to me. I've had more ponies in the past, but I've found I just don't enjoy a larger collection. So I've whittled it down to slightly above 100 ponies, and I don't think I'll ever go much above that.

I like looking at bigger collections, but having one would be such a huge headache for me. Especially because of the kind of collector I am. I want everything in as close to mint condition as possible, and not only that, but I want them with all of their original accessories, sticker (if they came with one) and backcard. With G2 and G3 it's fairly easy to find them this way, but the G1's have been quite the project! Even with just my little herd it's taken me years to track down every little bit and piece that I have, and I check eBay and the sales threads here nearly every day. But I'm very close now to having all of my US G1 ponies complete. I don't know if I'll ever complete the non-US G1's *looks woefully at Ice Crystal* but I'd be thrilled if I could even get the US G1's done.

I love this thread!!! All I have is one bookshelf, and I just shipped up a large chunk of my fakies, all my g3s, and one unwanted G1 to make room for more G1s and G4s now that I am am limited to one bookshelf. So sad.

One of the reasons I don't collect accessories and other merchandise is that I have no idea where I'd put it or how I'd display it. It's nice seeing how other people handle the parts of their collection that aren't ponies.
