How does Ebay bill sellers?
« on: November 11, 2013, 10:27:46 PM »
I know that ebay charges a percentage fee for sellers, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to pay that.  Do they send me a monthly bill?  Does it just come directly out of paypal?  I've been selling for several weeks now, and I haven't gotten a bill or email from them.  I don't want to get in trouble for not paying.

Ebay will send you an invoice, it will go to your ebay inbox and your email as well. It's usually sent 1-2 weeks before payment is due.

You can also go into your seller account by going to the account tab and you can see your current amount owing as well as your invoice when it's done up. Directly below that you will a spot where you set up how you pay (ours is paid through paypal), you can also choose to make a one time payment.

I hope this information helps :)

Thanks, Mikeysgrrl!  It looks like I've only been selling for four weeks, so I should be getting an invoice soon.  It feels like longer, lol :)

When you set up your seller account, you should have had to specify an automatic payment method to pay your seller fees. You can also pay with a onetime payment. But all sellers are required to have an automatic payment method on file either way. It should have been either your PayPal account, Credit card or direct pay from your checking account.
Your invoice payment then will be automatically processed by your payment due date, according to the payment method you chose when you created your seller account.

The due date is based on your billing cycle date. If your billing date is on the 15th of the month, your payment is due by the 15th of the following month.  If your billing date is on the last day of the month, your payment is due by the last day of the following month.

To confirm your payment method on file:

1.Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

2.Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then click Seller Account.

3.Scroll down to the section titled Payment methods for Seller Fees to find out your current payment method.
